Mom is down to about 62 lbs or so. Will post more when I know more.
I had a long meeting at the school yesterday for Rueben's IEP yearly review. Almost all the goals set forth for Rueben last year have shown progress, but not enough to remove them as goals. They will now be separated into goals for small and then goals for large groups. He's also had a speech goal added. He is still speaking in the 3-3.5 year old group. That amazed me, as he has a larger vocabulary than last year, but this testing is for proper grammar use. I.E. Saying "I am hungry." instead of saying "I is hungry, I are hungry" or "hungry...me".
He will also have a part time aide. The aide will keep track of him on any and all field trips, outside during recess time, and during the math block of the afternoon. He needs it. I haven't felt that Rueben transitioned well to 1st grade since this school year started, it seems *finally* that the school is now in agreement. It will be a long hard battle to ensure that he moves on to 2nd grade. It's very possible that he will do 1st grade twice.
Doc changed my meds around a bit. I'll have an update for you next week on any recent weight changes. But the new med and the stabilizer do not play well in the same sandbox, so I have to take my meds at dinner in between courses or halfway through dinner to make sure there is no major tummy ache when I lay down to sleep after taking new med and tranqs.
Rueben's new med schedule is the next hurdle and his next doc appointment is next week as well. It will be the 3rd appointment about the same issue and there still has been no changes!!!
Randy's new job starts tomorrow night. Pray for him and for us as we adjust to having him gone again. I will be very surprised if he's gone less than 14 days at a time. There is talk that he'll get sent through the house right away to pick up his belongings, but after that.....who knows. All this so we can move soon. It may not even be January. It may be summer break. We might have the money by March or April, but I won't want to move during the school year.
Have a great day....
